The story you’re going to hear in this episode is one that hadn’t been shared for years. So we’re delighted that our wonderful guest, Karen Stenning is joining us to do just that.
This episode is as raw as it is entertaining and it’s a story of a young woman, thrown into menopause without any knowledge of what was to come, at the age of 36.
As we know, menopause is full of taboo and secrecy – the more we can share, the more we can all help each other.
Karen is leading the charge here in here role as Director and Chief Alchemist of Absolute Alchemy – an events agency that creates events and experiences that do good and make a difference in the world. Karen brings communities together to partner with impact organisations and create change through positive social action, creating manifestos for change at each event.
In this podcast we cover;
-
The trauma of early menopause – particularly the shock of not being able to have children
-
The psychological effects of not talking about change
-
The myth that you wear comfy trousers and stop having sex when you hit menopause (no thanks)
-
Archetypes of menopause that couldn’t be further from the truth
-
Embracing menopause – the joy of inner confidence and creativity that it brings
-
The importance of self-care, listening and laughter – a plenty.
Enjoy!
